Summary
Bickmore Risk Services is the leader in the Risk Management Industry in offering its clients solutions to satisfy Workers' Compensation, General Liability and Employment Practices needs. Key Duties
- Provides clerical and administrative support to management, analysts and assigned clients such as filing, copying, mailings, composing correspondence, prepares agendas, edits/proofreads documents, and maintains accurate record documentation as required.
- Assists Analysts with client training and meeting scheduling by researching appropriate venues and working with hotel staff to make the necessary arrangements for participants as needed.
- Maintains and creates reports using spreadsheets, databases (eg. training compliance), and provides maintenance and updates on client websites.
- Prepares and distributes reports, newsletters, client information, advisories, and newsletters.
- Works with General and Assistant General Managers, Analysts, brokers, clients, members, third party administrators (TPAs), excess carriers, and government agencies. Responds to requests for client information in a timely and helpful manner.
- Acts as back up to Receptionist as needed
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of business English, punctuation, arithmetic, and spelling; current office practices and procedures; recordkeeping methods, practices, and procedures as well as the ability to quickly learn all applicable departmental regulations and policies.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative and creativity to carry out assignments with minimum instructions, adhere to prescribed routines and practices, maintain records, and to make reports requiring accuracy.
- Ability to receive and prioritize delegated work appropriately and assist other employees in a variety of tasks as required. Must have strong demonstrated multi-tasking skills.
- Skill in the application of modern office techniques and practices and the use and care of office machines and equipment. Ability to type at a minimum of 40 words per minute and intermediate-level skills in MicroSoft Office applications.
Required training and experience include:
Graduation from high school or GED with a minimum of three years of experience performing administrative tasks in an office setting.
